Things to do with kids in Houston – Fun and Awesome events for kids

Gearing up for the weekend and want some ideas of things to do… Well this is the big weekend when our world famous Rodeo kicks off.. What a line up!

The Fair at Houston Rodeo It’s the time of the year again. Put on your boots and hat and going. Everyone knows the amazing lineup of performances at the Rodeo which you can check out at

This year we focus on the fair, which is some serious entertainment in its own right,  with conventional arcade and booth games fun houses and rides, including the energizing 1,700-foot-tall Sky Ride that takes visitors over all of NRG Park. Long-term rodeo addicts will recollect a region for the littlest cowboys and cowgirls called Kids Country. This is now named The Junction. It highlights littler rides, a homestead display, petting zoo, children’s carnival etc. Lastly, inside NRG Center Hall A, is the AGVENTURE, which centers around farming education and has a bunch of animal exhibits – from the birthing centres to fisheries to bumble bee hives at Reliant Park for just $5 for adults. Kids and seniors are free! Don’t miss the $2 games and $2 food bites from 11am – 4pm in Kids’ Country Carnival. An honest overview of life in Houston, Texas – your kids will just learn the real adventure and fun of being a true houstonian with this event.
